Registered Child Carer
I am registered with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) to care for up to 6 children (Boys & Girls) from birth to 12 years. My own children will be counted into the ratios and no more than 3 children under full time school age will be cared for at a time.
I am also able to care for children over 12 years outside of school hours.
I currently work alone within my home, however am able to meet with other Minders in the area for further support, these minders will not have responsibility for children under my care.
I am also a member of PACEY (Professional Association for Childcare & Early Years).
Experience & Qualifications
Relevant qualifications I hold include:
- BTec National Diploma in Early Years (Level 3),
- Foundation Degree in Early Years (Level 5)
- BA in Education Learning and Development (Level 6 Degree)
- Home Based Childcare Units (Introduction to Homebased Childcare, and Preparing for Childminder Practice)
Alongside these main qualifications I hold:
- Safeguarding Children Certificate
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- Food Hygiene Certificate
Family Composition
Living with myself is my long term partner Rhys, and our two children. Our eldest is primary school age and our youngest is a preschooler.
My partner is employed full time and so off premises for the majority of operational hours, he also holds an enhanced disclosure and barring certificate (DBS) check.
My eldest attends the local primary school Mynydd Cynffig Primary and both children will be counted within ratios.
No other children reside at this property, and I am not currently or have intentions to be a foster carer.
Family Pets
We have one dog within the family. He has been with us several years and has watched our children grow.
He has an area of the kitchen for himself, that is separate from children and others, and will never be left unsupervised with children.
We keep his hygiene routine regular.
