Genia’s Home Based Childcare is a Childminding service provided in the Kenfig Hill area of Bridgend, South Wales.
About Us
I have 15 years experience in Childcare, and I am a parent myself. I hold a degree in Early Years Care & Education, and hold Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid & Food Hygiene Certificates as well as an enhanced DBS.
Services
Services are flexible and include Full Time, Part Time & Wrap Around Care all provided from a Family and Pet Friendly Home.
Setting Features
- A Large Playroom/Dining area, with a wide variety of toys and activities for play and learning.
- An Enclosed garden which is currently under renovation, and is sectioned ready for a range of purposes, such as a grassed play area and raised planters for growing fruits & vegetables.
- Downstairs Toilet/Utility Room for Toileting/Nappy changing and Hand washing.
- The Kitchen will be used for food & drink preparation (However children will not have access. Access is also unavailable to the upstairs and lounge).
- Double width driveway, and a space may be available for off road parking during drop off/collection if needed.

Aims & Objectives
I aim to support all children in my care to achieve their best possible outcomes, through providing quality care, and learning and play opportunities in a secure, home-based environment.
Play and child centred routines and a wide range of stage appropriate activities will support children to feel valued, safe, healthy and confident.
The quality of the care I provide will be continuously improved by ensuring that parents and children and their needs are able to be heard and responded to.

Activities and Routines
Activities will be planned to meet children’s individual interests and needs.
Using a range of experiences such as cooking, messy play, role play, creative, puzzles, and stories, children will be given play opportunities to become ambitious and capable, enterprising and creative, ethical and informed citizens that are healthy and confident.
Children’s independence will be encouraged and appropriate activities and toys will be accessible for their choice.
Routines will be child based and are flexible to needs, routines will be based on play, meal and rest times.
School drop offs/pick ups will need to be considered when setting routines for children whilst in my care.
